Bill has helped me with my gardens for the last 15+ years. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of plants and flowers, a wonderful eye for design, and an amazing ability to handle projects of any scope— he gives the same careful consideration to a small flowerbed and to a large-scale landscape design. And while Bill is a very talented landscape designer, he always defers to his client’s preferences. While many landscapers want you to accept their vision for your yard, Bill emphasizes giving you what you want, not what he thinks you should want. I’ve known Bill for many years and feel fortunate to have had him complete a landscape plan for our house in Madison during the spring of 2017. What impresses me most about Bill is his kind and careful attention to detail. He’s very knowledgeable about plants and has good connections with growers and other suppliers. What’s more, he is completely reliable. We never had any concerns about having the plan completed in a timely manner and within budget. In fact, our plan required some fall plantings and Bill took care of everything without additional input from us. Then he followed up to make sure everything was growing okay. What a comfort to have that kind of service!

Attuned to Nature
It’s been ten years since the universe introduced me to the talent and expertise of Bill Jolin. Bill is not only in tune with plants and flowers, he is attuned to nature. For more than a decade, he has helped me pick just the right things for my yard, by our house, or down by the river. He just knows it all. For as much as I love them, flowers can be a mystery to me, but Bill Jolin not only helps me choose the right ones for the dirt – BONUS – he makes sure I understand how not to kill them after his planting is done and he leaves. (No pun intended.) I tell my husband he is “the dad of the plant kingdom”. Highly recommend him!
